The Morungaba Association is a non-governmental organization (NGO), established on the 2000 year with the objective of expands the social actions already developed by the Morungaba Center.
The Center could continue then his service, prioritizing projects directed to people with deficiency and special necessities. And the social projects, which before were only a small part of the activities, are carried out today by the Association, in several places of the city of São Paulo, which enlarged very much the beneficiaries' number and the variety of the activities.
The Morungaba Association has like mission promotes the increase in value and the development of the person, favoring the familiarity in the diversity and the appropriation of the public spaces, through the sport, physical movement, of the arts and of the education, stimulating so the search of the autoknowledge and the integration with a group.
His projects include dance, yoga, capoeira, theatrical plays, plastic arts and sports, and serve the public from different reality, including socioeconomic seeking insert these singularities in the same context, that of citizenship.
The Morungaba works to revert the picture of social exclusion, strengthening the identity of the individual so that he feels encouraged fighting for their goals and rights.
His action was also directed to the educators of the public net of teaching and to the persons in charge and families of the children and attended young persons, and to the formation of students and professionals in the areas of Education, Physical Education, Health, Psychology and Dance/Art-Education through of courses and internships.
Besides the social preoccupation, the Morungaba Association takes as a part of his values the defense and protection of the ecological function of species, and permeates all his activities with the concept of the environmental conservation.
